Jordan has demonstrated a sound knowledge and understanding of the content and text type. The discussion has been adequately written and structured with both sides of the argument presented. The information has been identified and expanded upon with three examples of justification provided for each viewpoint but there is a need for further expansion on these examples. Jordan has demonstrated basic desktop publishing skills. Adequate drafting and revision have resulted in few errors in spelling and punctuation. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 3.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.

Students evaluate the effectiveness of their writing by focusing on grammatical features and the conventions of writing.
