The work samples for this grade, together, assist teachers to gain a common understanding of the standard of work typically produced by students whose performance, on balance, matches the description for Grade C.

Students create collage artworks on the theme of making music.


Activity: Music: Exploring Graphic Scores (View Activity…)

Students create a soundscape based on their study of South-East Asian cultures and represent their compositions using graphic notation.


Activity: Visual Arts: Mars Expedition Collage (View Activity…)

Students use painting, monoprint, drawings and magazine clippings to produce a collage that depicts the Mars environment and experience.


Activity: Music: Composing for percussion (View Activity…)

Students work in small groups to create a composition for percussion (tuned and/or untuned) or percussion and tuned instruments.

Students create a still-life of sunflowers.
