Sam has used a variety of tools and line thicknesses to investigate the subject matter. There is good use of positive and negative space to express personality and mood. Sam has experimented and taken artistic risks, such as repetition of line and shapes. Sam demonstrates a very high level of competence in conveying ideas. Sam demonstrates knowledge of the work of print artists including Picasso. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard at the end of Stage 3.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
