Shane (little firefighter) has demonstrated an adequate level of competence in taking on and sustaining a role. The use of voice is clear, and an attempt has been made to differentiate between the characters through the use of levels, but greater use of expression and movement would enhance the performance and create a stronger sense of characterisation. Lee has made an appropriate interpretation of the script and has demonstrated a sound understanding of the elements of drama such as space, focus and tension. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 2.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
