Jamie has selected and used appropriate tools, materials and joining techniques to make a boat. Aim, material and method have been included but there is no picture to show the design features of the boat. A test has been conducted to see whether the boat could float and possible improvements have been implied through the identification of a fault rather than explained. Jamie has used scientific language effectively to communicate ideas. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
