Other Work Samples for:

Kendall has demonstrated a high level of competence in using a range of artistic techniques to create a portrait. The portrait has a dramatic presence which gives an insight into the sitter's photographic interests and view of framing the world. The sitter has engaged the audience with her gaze which is accentuated by the selection of tonal contrasts. There is a considered choice to use a limited colour scheme which intensifies the visual qualities and the skin tone is modelled well with subtle colouring, but the eyes lack technical refinement. The background is left rather unresolved. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
