Taylor has demonstrated a very high level of competence in using a variety of artistic techniques to represent figurative forms. There is a clear sense of control in the use of mixed media and subtle combination with photographic images to create atmosphere, emotion and space. Materials and surfaces have been manipulated to assist in the framing of the images and create a resolved composition. There is evidence of measured decision making in the balance between colour, tone and shape, and a very high level of competence in spatial manipulation. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
