Kim has produced a textile item of excellent quality, demonstrating creativity in the design and selection of materials. An extensive knowledge and understanding of the properties and performance of materials is shown in the selection of fabrics appropriate to the end use. Complex techniques have been used and there is a high level of precision in the intricately pieced blocks and binding for the dimensionally accurate quilt. Kim has selected and used a range of appropriate textile equipment for the precision cutting of fabrics and careful stitching. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at Grade A standard.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
