Bailey has demonstrated adequate skills in following a planned procedure to conduct an investigation. Variables and controls have been considered to ensure valid testing procedures. The results have been clearly understood but they have not been correctly tabulated, and repetition of the trials has not been included. A sound scientific report format has been used to show the findings but the activity has not been completed and no generalisations or predictions have been made in relation to the results. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
