Kendall has demonstrated a high level of competence in planning and conducting a first-hand investigation. A valid investigation that is appropriate for the stated hypothesis has been described. An effective strategy to collect relevant quantitative data over a number of trials has been developed. Kendall has communicated the results in a thorough manner, and the discussion shows an understanding of the processes used to validate tests. While conclusions have been made, they are not based on all the recorded results, and the results have not been further adapted or linked to background research. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
