Bailey has identified and discussed the risks associated with the scenario and categorised the risk-taking behaviour into short-term and long-term effects. Bailey has identified each of the actions in the scenario and has predicted extensive and appropriate potential harms for each. Bailey was able to distinguish between the categories of harm: physical, social and emotional. Bailey has clearly justified the actions he/she would take, and displayed a thorough understanding of the consequences for such actions. Bailey has identified three appropriate strategies to minimise harm in a similar situation. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
