This work starts with promise but lacks structural cohesion. Lindsay explores individual tone colours and their effects but the transitions between ideas are a little awkward. He/she addresses the concepts of layering, dynamic shading and contrast but the piece lacks cohesion, momentum and forward movement. Lindsay shows some awareness of appropriate contexts and engages in a range of musical experiences. The performance lacks fluidity but stylistic understanding is conveyed.
