Other Work Samples for:

Tracy has plotted points to graph linear relationships and revealed some knowledge of gradients and the y-intercept. No table of values was provided, but points have been plotted to locate position of lines. Tracy has shown knowledge of the relationship between the gradient and the coefficient of x and also of the connection between the constant term and translation of line. There is poor use of mathematical language/description. Tracy has graphed a linear relationship (without guidance), but there is no demonstration of knowledge of nonlinear graphs (the graphs of y = x3 and y = 3x were not drawn). This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D4 standard at the end of Stage 5.

Grade D

The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
