Other Work Samples for:

Lou has demonstrated sound understanding of the concepts of discount, successive discounts and percentages. There is, however, a lack of logical written reasoning and the simple errors such as 13.50 - $90 have not been recognised. Lou has shown what the difference is, answering Question 2, but lacks words to the effect of ‘finding a percentage of a smaller amount’ somewhere in the argument. Question 3 has not been attempted and Lou has not given evidence that number skills have been applied ‘reliably and accurately’. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C6 standard at the end of Stage 5.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
