Lesley has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of probability. Standard procedures have been used to solve simple, single-step problems using appropriate language and reasoning. Lesley has demonstrated an adequate level of competence in using a formula to calculate probability and simplify the answer but some irrelevant information has been included and there is no reference to independent events. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C6 standard at the end of Stage 5.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
