Other Work Samples for:

Rania has demonstrated a sound understanding of graphs. A good description of the graphs has been provided but there are some inaccuracies in the use of mathematical terminology (eg ‘points in the positive direction’). Some understanding of gradient-intercept form is evident and some higher-order skills in describing equations and graphs have been demonstrated. Rania has shown clearly where the y-axis is cut. The fact that there is no table of values indicates a good understanding of gradient and y-intercept as well as the idea of translation. There is some use of mathematical language but the understanding has many flaws. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C5 standard at the end of Stage 5.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
