Lou has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of trigonometry. Correct calculations have been included and all three trigonometric ratios have been used in familiar problems. Appropriate mathematical terminology has been used but there is no evidence of the ability to solve unfamiliar problems nor problems involving bearings or an unknown in the denominator. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C6 standard at the end of Stage 5.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
