Other Work Samples for:

Jo has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of the trigonometric ratios. Problems have been solved using trigonometric ratios and the solutions are clearly set out, but there is some inaccuracy with notation. The examples chosen show a narrow range of trigonometric techniques: they require the use of the tangent ratio only, and focus on finding angles. The ‘practical’ nature of the examples chosen is artificial, and Jo does not appear to understand the geometrical relationship between the angle of elevation and the angle of depression. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C6 standard at the end of Stage 5 at the end of Stage 5.
