Other Work Samples for:

Jamie has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of trigonometric ratios. The tan ratio is the only one that has been used but the calculations are accurate. Angles have been found but the setting-out of the problem is poor: no introductory line, variables left out; rounding without calculator display; inconsistent use of metres and centimetres. Although the question posed by Jamie is a practical problem of sorts, it lacks specific detail. This sheds doubt on the understanding of the term ‘angle of depression’ or any related concepts. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C5 standard at the end of Stage 5.

Grade C
