Mackenzie has demonstrated a thorough understanding of the culture of Japanese-speaking communities and a high level of competence in communicating ideas in Japanese. Detailed information has been presented using appropriate vocabulary and a range of grammatical structures but a wider variety of linguistic structures could have been used. A clear comparison between the teenagers has been made but there are minor inaccuracies and the presentation does not flow as smoothly as possible. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
