Description of activity
Students are to undertake research and produce a written report on the evolution of Australian residential architectural styles. The report should incorporate:
- Graphics Technology, industry and society
- Presentation and communication
Context
Students are undertaking study of the Australian Architecture option module. This activity takes place towards the start of the module and provides the opportunity to develop the students' knowledge of Australian architectural styles. The activity also allows students to refine and expand their skills in research.

5.6.1 demonstrates the application of graphics to a range of industrial, commercial and personal settings.
Criteria for assessing learning

Students will be assessed on their ability to:
- clearly identify and analyse styles in Australian residential architecture
- apply results of research to identify and analyse architectural styles reflected in the local environment
- competently use information and communication technologies to prepare and present information in a clear and informative manner.
