Writing - Promotional Flyer - Jo : Grade Commentary
Jo addresses the requirements of the task at a sound level but requires more elaboration of details. He/she uses appropriate vocabulary and varied linguistic structures in a simple and repetitive manner. His/her understanding of the purpose of the task is limited as the linguistic choices, such as the name of the shop and clothing items chosen, are sometimes inappropriate. There is evidence of sound knowledge and understanding of the culture of Arabic-speaking communities but limited understanding of the ways in which Arabic works as a system. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
