About the grade commentaries

two teachers looking at a student work sample

A 'grade commentary' accompanies each aligned work sample to show why it was aligned to a particular grade. The grade commentary describes aspects of the sample that demonstrate the standard that would typically be produced by a student whose overall achievement best matches that grade description.

The grade description (or course performance descriptor for Stage 5) is included to assist you in understanding the aspects of performance at that standard that are demonstrated in the work sample.
