Other Work Samples for:

Ali has demonstrated a high level of competence in using relief printing practices and techniques to represent the subject matter of still life. There is evidence of research into printmakers such as Braque and Morandi in the breaking up and simplification of the form. A variety of line marking has been attempted, and there is competent reduction of block printing in three colours. There is a flattening of forms and some uneven inking but an attempt to create space through overlapping shapes is successful in parts of the composition. The repetition of directional line complements the surface of the objects and creates contrast. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
