Other Work Samples for:

Reese has demonstrated a very high level of competence in using a range of ceramic techniques to create a three-dimensional portrait in clay. This conceptually sophisticated artwork reflects the successful integration of techniques from the study of a range of artworks and artists. Reese has constructed a mask-like face with strong exploration of cultural traditions and their communication. There is restrained use of colour and refined decoration. Some problems with roundness of form have been overcome by incised decoration and a variety of subtle surface treatments. The overall coherence of the artwork suggests a strongly directed intention and an awareness of the effect on the audience. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.
