Other Work Samples for:

Lee has demonstrated a limited level of competence in planning and performing a first-hand investigation. Some specific details have been included but the time frame is too short and it is not clear what will be measured. The experimental variable has been applied but the expectation that a rose in a vase will grow is unrealistic. Lee has demonstrated a basic understanding of the use of repetition but it has not been applied to all aspects of the experimental design. There is a clear statement about ensuring that the same amount of water is applied to each rose, but the controlling of other variables has not been mentioned. Lee has not used appropriate scientific equipment or considered safety procedures. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard.

Grade D
