Other Work Samples for:

Ariel has demonstrated a basic understanding of the 12-bar blues. An attempt has been made to use the blues scale and chord progression but it is limited and repetitive, and the piece lacks a clear sense of structure. There is little exploration of pitch, rhythm and tone colour, and the use of percussion is inappropriate for the style. Melodic ideas are confined to the chords, and the piece lacks textual clarity.
This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard.

Grade D

The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
