Other Work Samples for:

Sam has demonstrated a thorough understanding of the 12-bar blues. A clear sense of structure is evident in the use of stylistic bass lines and rhythmic patterns. An appropriate introduction and coda have been used. Rhythmic interest has been created by the syncopation of melodic material but it tends to be repetitive. Tone colours have been well chosen, and there is effective use of layering in the opening section. The pitch material is simple but effective, mirroring the harmonic progression. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.
