Bobby has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of statistical terms and an adequate level of competence in reading a stem-and-leaf plot. The mean and range have been correctly calculated and their methods of calculation have been explained. Although the median is incorrect, Bobby has identified that this figure is an indicator of the middle score. A brief comparison of the two sets of data has been made but no conclusion has been drawn and the effect of the outliers has not been mentioned. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 4.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
