Huong has demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of statistical terms and a high level of competence in reading a stem-and-leaf plot. The median and range have been correctly calculated and, although there is an error in the calculation of the mean, a high level of competence is evident in the explanation of the processes used. The comparison of the two sets of data lacks some statistical analysis but the effect of the outliers has been identified. Huong has demonstrated a high level of analysis in the observation that the tests are very similar and that the range is a measure of spread. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 4.
