Tracy has demonstrated thorough knowledge of the content and a high level of competence in applying a formula. Volume has been correctly calculated using appropriate units but finding the radius by measuring the circumference (when flat) would have given a more accurate radius length. Although there is no evidence of an awareness of the relationship between the circumference and radius of a cylinder, Tracy has explained the procedure used to calculate volume and has drawn correct conclusions. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 4.
