Lou has demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of geometric patterns. An accurate diagram has been constructed and the table has been completed using the correct algebraic rule. The number of centicubes for twenty tunnels has been accurately calculated and the rule has been expressed using algebraic notation. The explanation shows a very high level of competence in problem-solving and reasoning skills. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard at the end of Stage 4.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
