Both speakers have communicated confidently and effectively using learnt expressions. There are a few inaccuracies in the pronunciation, stress and intonation. Communication has been effectively established and maintained despite some unnatural pauses. The first speaker’s skills are stronger than those of the second speaker but both work samples demonstrate characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
